The Full Story

In 1969, Marlin Potteiger started M. Potteiger Inc., a professional roofing and sheet metal contractor specializing in built-up roofing applications. Through Marlin's vision and leadership, the company grew over the next two decades to become one of the largest commercial roofing contractors in central Pennsylvania and northern Maryland. With a reputation for quality workmanship and competitive pricing, M. Potteiger Inc. later expanded its operations into southern Maryland, Washington, D.C., and northern Virginia. In 1975, to accommodate the growing volume of business in this new market, Marlin Potteiger launched a new roofing company, Potteiger-Raintree Inc., which also specializes in built-up roofing.

In 1998, David Bieber joined M. Potteiger Inc. as president of the company and a principal in the organization. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University with 20 years experience in the commercial roofing industry, David has shifted the focus of M. Potteiger Inc.'s business to single-ply and metal roofing. Today, M. Potteiger Inc. is a leader in the commercial single-ply and metal roofing markets. It employs a large and well-trained workforce that focuses on safety while upholding the M. Potteiger tradition of quality workmanship.
